Low offers haven’t been common in years. But 2022 may be different. If interest rates rise, we may see more price-pressure. Here are my thoughts if you’re worried about someone making a low offer for your home.
It helps to see low offers as an opening gambit to a negotiation. If you’re negotiating from a position of strength (that is, you’ve priced accurately, your market is strong, and you have time to wait) then you are in control. You can choose to ignore the offer or counter it. I suggest countering in most cases, because a buyer might simply be testing the waters.
