She lived for four decades in Rhode Island, where she founded the Interfaith Peace Initiative in 2002. In 2010 she co-founded a global group within the United Methodist Church in response to a call from Christians in the Holy Land. That same year she led a United Methodist study group to the region.
She currently resides in Florida. In 2022, she joined other Floridians to establish Partners for Palestine, which calls for a just peace in the region based on equality, international law and human rights. In 2024, she helped launch a broad national campaign called “Take a Stand for the Holy Land” through the Palestinian Christian Alliance for Peace. The initiative has the endorsement of eighteen human rights organizations, including groups in ten major Christian denominations.
Susanne has worked with people in three faith communities to educate Americans about the reality in Israel and the occupied territories of Palestine. She is dedicated to freedom, justice and equal rights for all in the region.
