Part 1
Dr. Robert Jay Rowen is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. His commitment to academic excellence is evident through his double board certifications (and recertifications) in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, and additionally in Clinical Metal Toxicology. Dr. Rowen has left a lasting impact on the field of alternative medicine, affectionately known as “The Father of Medical Freedom.” In 1990, he pioneered the nation’s first statutory protection for alternative medicine, overcoming organized medicine’s vociferous opposition. Two years later, Alaska’s governor, Hickel, appointed him to a term on the Alaska State Medical Board, once again facing fierce opposition from organized medicine. Nevertheless, his appointment survived a legislative battle due to overwhelming public support, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to integrative medicine.
His clinical expertise and teaching in ozone therapy, as well as all aspects of integrative medicine, have garnered international recognition and publications. In October 2014, Dr. Rowen traveled to Sierra Leone to bring ozone therapy to the Ebola epidemic. His team cured 5 out of 5 people with a 100% recovery rate, an impressive achievement published in the African Journal of Infectious Diseases: Vol 10, No 1 (2016). Furthermore, he is the longest-continuous user of ozone and oxidation therapies in North America.
