Reverend Patricia Hailes Fears is the second pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church. She is a native of New Bedford, Mass but has called Washington, DC home for several years. Reverend Fears served enthusiastically, and creatively, prior to becoming Pastor, at the Westover Baptist Church in Arlington, Virginia. Her ministerial resume includes youth, health, and educational leadership. Reverend Fears has a passion for social justice and pastoral ministry. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 She is actively involved in both faith and secular organization, having served as President of the Board of Directors and a variety of committees of the DC Baptist Convention, a charter member of Faith Strategies, an ecumenical social justice organization, co-founder of Sister Clergy, key coordinator for Ward 4 Faith Leaders. Reverend Fears is an owner of MediaFEARS a full serve advertising agency, and co-owner of Huntley Sauces, Inc. Reverend Fears has rich background of community engagement serving on several boards and committees: the American Heart Association, Board Chair of D.C. Center for Independent Living Board of Directors, Past President of the Advertising Club of Metropolitan Washington, D.C., Co-Chair of DC Cardiovascular Health and Obesity Collaborative Community Advisory Board, NCNW, Wednesday Clergy Fellowship, and Fellowship of Reconciliation (FOR,USA) to name a few. She is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Reverend Fears and her husband Deacon Ernest D. Fears, III, are the proud parents of three outstanding sons (Ernest, IV, Patrick, Francis), two wonderful daughters-in-love (Keisha, Tiffany) and two amazing granddaughters (Korrie and Kree)
